  Friday, July 25, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church, 45-435 Aumoku Street, Kaneohe (behind Windward City McDonalds).

  Prerequisites

   Attendees must be currently registered AYSO volunteers and U12 and Safe Haven certified.  If your Safe Haven certification is old, you need to take the new and improved Safe Haven on-line (you must log in using your AYSO ID).

  Prerequisites

  The general prerequisites are that an attendee should (1) have completed the Basic Referee Course (i.e., be a Regional Referee), and (2) be near to completion of refereeing 25 (or more) games at the U-8 level or above with 5 of those games being at the U-12 level or higher or have equivalent  experience.

  If your Safe Haven certification is old, you need to take the new and improved Safe Haven on-line (you must log in using your AYSO ID).

  The course fee of $25.00 will be billed to attendees’ home regions. The fee will cover course materials, food and drink.

  Details

To become certified, the referee must pass a written Intermediate Referee Exam. While much of the material in the test will be covered in the Course, the referee should study in advance to pass the test. Referees can find useful information in:

- The AYSO Laws of the Game which can be found at
http://www.aysotraining.org/manuals/manuals.asp?course=refereemanual (including especially the FIFA Interpretation of the Laws of the Game and Guidelines for Referees which is part of the AYSO Laws of the Game). You must login using your AYSO ID.

- The AYSO National Rules and Regulations which can be found starting at page 23 of the AYSO Guidance for Referees, Coaches, Other Volunteers and Parents http://www.aysotraining.org/manuals/manuals.asp?course=refereemanual. You must log in using your AYSO ID.

Attendees, please go to the following URL for a sample Intermediate Referee Exam - www.ayso.org/Assets/Training/Instructors/PPT+and+Handouts/intermediate_sample_test.pdf Please print out this sample exam, take it yourself before coming the Course and bring it with you to the Course.

Bring a chair, a pen or pencil, a note pad and a hard surface (like a clip board, folder or book) to write on. Also, please bring your referee gear
(shoes, whistle, etc.) for any field work.

  We will be holding the course in a garage. Food and drink will be provided.
