Referees - Advance Referee Course

The general prerequisites are that an attendee should (1) have completed the Intermediate
Referee Course, (2) be close to or have completed being center referee for 50 games at the U-8
level or above with 10 of those games being at the U-14 level or above, and (3) be close to or
have completed being assistant referee for 5 games at the U-14 level or above.
To become certified, a referee must pass the Advanced Referee Test. Most of the material in the
test will not be covered in the Course and the referee should study in advance. Students can
study the following to prepare the AYSO FIFA Laws of the Game and the FIFA Interpretation of
the Laws of the Game and Guidelines for Referees both of which can be found at
http://www.aysotraining.org after login, the AYSO National Rules
and Regulations which can be found in the AYSO Guidance for Referees, Coaches, etc. at
http://www.aysotraining.org after login. Other useful information can be obtained from the USSF Advice to Referees on the Laws of the Game

exam which students should print it out, take and bring with them to the Course. In addition, the
